Juneteenth Liturgy & Potluck BBQ

The Black/African American Circle invites you to a special Juneteenth liturgy and potluck BBQ! The worship service will feature dance, poetry, music, preaching and the Holy Eucharist. A special offering will also be taken up in support of the Richard Younge Curates of Color Fund.

The community celebration has been hosted by Black leaders and community members in East King County since 2020 with representatives from BAM (Blacks at Microsoft), the Lake WA School District, Eastside For All’s staff and board, local entrepreneurs, educators, artists, and community advocates.

This intergenerational celebration features a “Medley of Cultures” with live music, dance, food, poetry, and double dutch fun, as well as a children’s corner. It's FREE to attend, and all are welcome.

Cross-Cultural Center Without Walls Grand Opening

A new partnership will bring our Cross-Cultural Center Without Walls programming into the Bellevue School District's Welcome Center. Organizations funded through our cross-cultural program will have dedicated space in the Welcome Center to connect with Bellevue families, share resources and host intercultural experiences.

B.U.I.L.D. Black History Celebration

Tacoma's 2026 Black History Month programming centered around "A Century of Courage: Honoring 100 Years of Black History". The events—hosted by organizations like BUILD, UW Tacoma, and Metro Parks Tacoma—featured a mix of community luncheons, genealogy workshops, historical presentations, and youth initiatives.
