The Katherine Dunham Technique is a dance method that combines elements of ballet, modern, jazz, and traditional dances of the African Diaspora. Developed by Katherine Dunham, this technique emphasizes groundedness, isolations, rhythm, and storytelling through movement.
Dr. Albirda Rose is a renowned dance expert and educator, particularly known for her work with the Katherine Dunham Technique. She's a Master Teacher and Director of Dunham Technique Certification

Learn the basics of the dances or gospel songs from Intiman's production of Black Nativity. Choose from the dance workshop with Vania downstairs, or the choir workshop with Sam in the main auditorium. All levels, ages, races, and backgrounds are welcome! Join in and discover the magic, movement, and music of this annual holiday spectacular, before seeing the return production playing later this year.

The full Eucharist includes the lively music of MISSA GAIA (EARTH MASS), composed by Grammy-Award winning artist Paul Winter and others. It features Afro-Cuban drums, jazz harmonies, gospel styles, traditional choral singing, and inspirational dancing by VC Bynum Arts.
