Dear Community,

We are all adjusting to our new norms in the world of COVID-19 and re- defining our roles and how we can impact change and support community.  As a dancer and artist, I tend to turn to my passion as a resource to help others. I am the founder of VCBynum Arts and Education Movement, my mission is to educate and empower communities through Dance and other art forms throughout in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

I am organizing a virtual online event,  Humanity: An Evolving Perspective as a fundraiser for local food security that also combines an avenue for local artists that have been impacted by COVID to contribute their talents and find work at a time where Covid-19 demands us to social distance.  I am reaching out to you to request financial support to help make this event possible.

Humanity-An Evolving Perspective will be presented on November 8th, 2020.

Inspired by my past production of the 2005 Hurricane Relief Benefit and the dual pandemics of Covid-19 and systemic racism, a fellow artist Jamie Waliczek  of Jerboa Dance and I felt compelled to action.  The goal of this presentation is to educate and enlighten our audience about important issues in our society while raising funds to help feed diverse communities in need. The two organizations that we would like to assist are Shaina's Garden sponsored by NW Tap Connection and Food Is Love of Seattle, WA.

I have received funding from 4Culture, and I am looking to raise an additional $20k to complete the event and provide food for those in need. Time is of the essence and I hope that you can support this hometown event which provides a lot of good for many.
